Our body is exposed daily to various factors that negatively impact its functioning. Overwork, stress, a fast-paced lifestyle, an unbalanced diet, and lack of sleep are just some of the many challenges faced by modern individuals.
Although these are modern issues, traditional solutions can be found for them – we often overlook the gifts that nature provides, which our ancestors knew and relied upon.
Such oversights are certainly not made in Asia, where herbalism and mushroom cultivation have been practiced for centuries and remain vibrant today.
One such mushroom, originating from Japan and China, is maitake. Its name in Japanese means “dancing mushroom”, as it is so valuable that people would dance with joy upon finding it in the wild.
This remarkable mushroom offers a wide range of uses – in both herbalism and culinary applications, where it is valued for its delicate earthy and slightly nutty flavour, often described by chefs as umami.
An additional incentive for incorporating maitake into the diet is its high content of dietary fibre and protein – 37 g of fibre and 21.9 g of protein per 100 g.
The production method is also crucial for powdered mushrooms, and in this case, the product is 100% organic, with only the fruiting bodies used to produce the powder.
This is the above-ground part of the mushroom, which has the highest concentration of beneficial bioactive compounds and is also the part harvested for consumption.
The advantage of maitake in powder form is its versatile preparation, which can be tailored to your preferences – simply mix the powder into any liquid (water, juice, tea, smoothie) or dishes (soups, sauces, oatmeal, and similar), while more advanced users may also consider encapsulation.
Maitake is a natural way to support the body, offering versatile benefits and is particularly recommended:
